QCF provides free tennis to local SAFE Camp at the Phoenix Academy in White City

Over the recent holiday period, The QCF provided free tennis to local secondary school children attending a London Sports Trust SAFE Camp at the Phoenix Academy in White City.

Our Head of Foundation delivered an LTA Tennis Leaders training qualification to children at the camp and then provided 28 children with the opportunity to compete in a fun team challenge tennis event at which the Leaders had an opportunity to practise their newly learned skills to support at a competition.

The delivery was part of the QCF link with the London Sports Trust, where we provide mentoring and coaching support within the LTA Serves Level-Up London Project to the venue. This project provides support in tennis to those involved in delivering tennis to underserved communities in London and in itself has been a recent award winner at the London Sport Awards.

The QCF will continue to deliver specialist tennis support to this venue and in particular is committed to enhancing the local workforce, especially women, by providing them with opportunities to continue to develop

their coaching skills in the sport.
